Shawna Stephan, P.A.-C

Shawna Stephan, P.A.-C, very much enjoys her one-on-one time with Aguirre Specialty Care patients, and has been an integral team member since 2010.  Shawna is interested in all facets of women’s care, and enjoys working with women of all ages. She has extensive experience in menopausal medicine and has spent a significant portion of her career working in the field of Reproductive Endocrinology.  She is an expert in menopausal and peri-menopausal medicine and leads Aguirre Specialty Care's BioIdentical Hormone Therapy Program. Way to go hormones! In addition, she performs pre- and post-operative care for surgical patients, reprogramming for Interstim patients, and manages the concerns of patients in the clinical setting.

She's earned two B.A. degrees from the University of Colorado at Boulder before achieving her B.M.S. in Physician Assistant Studies form the Midwestern University Physician Assistant Program in Glendale, AZ. “Ever since childhood, I have always wanted to work in medicine.  I chose to become a P.A. because it guaranteed that I would have close patient contact without losing the diagnostic approach.  What’s more, this role has allowed me to have a family without compromising a career.” Shawna lives with her husband and young children in Centennial.  She enjoys walking and biking along the Highline Canal, reading for her (two!) book clubs, cooking and baking, making jewelry and, of course, time with her family.
