Resurfacing of Skin and Scars
Resurfacing procedures are used to remove the top layer of damaged skin. ASC offers a variety of ways to resurface your skin and scars, giving you a fresh and vibrant look.
The ASC aesthetic team offers a few options for laser skin rejuvenation and resurfacing: MicroLaserPeel™, ProFractional™ and Pixel Perfect.
MicroLaserPeel™ is a total ablative procedure, meaning that it is 100 percent effective in resurfacing the outermost layers of skin, making it more effective than microdermabrasion or chemical peels. MicroLaserPeel™ requires three to five days of recovery time.
A ProFractional™ treatment is a partial ablative procedure that uses laser energy to treat certain areas of the skin. The treated areas stimulate collagen production and the untreated areas trigger the body’s natural healing process. This procedure is quick and only takes three to five days for a full recovery. ProFractional™ treatments may need to be performed up to four times for desired results.
Pixel Perfect Fractionated CO2 Skin Resurfacing is a laser treatment that combines the benefits of traditional ablative technology with the safety and downtime of a fractional laser treatment, achieving the tried-and-true results of traditional CO2 resurfacing with a considerable reduction in downtime. This treatment is ideal for those with medium to deep wrinkling that desire a youthful, refreshed skin tone. This treatment can counteract years of sun damage or acne scarring while stimulating collagen growth to improve your skin’s texture and tone. You’ll achieve natural-looking results with a minimal risk of side effects, and in less time than many other laser treatments. This treatment typically requires 3-5 days of downtime.
The ASC aesthetic team almost always performs MicroLaserPeel™ and ProFractional™ treatments together. By doing so, we are able to minimize our client’s recovery time to three to five days, depending on the depth of the treatment.
The ASC aesthetic team can help treat the following conditions with MicroLaserPeel™,ProFractional™ and Pixel Perfect procedures:
- Fine lines
- Acne scars
- Age spots
- Sun damage
- Overall skin texture
DiamondTome™ microdermabrasion is a technique that exfoliates the top layer of skin with a small buffering instrument that contains natural diamond chips, while removing dead skin cells. The remaining skin will have a much smoother texture, which will result in the growth of healthy new skin cells.
As a non-invasive procedure, DiamondTome™ requires no recovery time after treatment and can even been done during your lunch hour. DiamondTome™ is painless and effective. Although you will notice smoother, glowing skin after your first treatment, it is recommended you receive multiple treatments to achieve optimum results and to maintain the results from the laser treatments.
The ASC aesthetic team can help treat the following conditions with DiamondTome™ microdermabrasion:
- Sun damaged skin
- Age spots
- Reduction of early aging fine lines
- Crow’s feet
- Reduction of acne scars
- Lifts blackheads and whiteheads
- Hyper-pigmentation reduction
- Oily skin
- Rejuvenation of skin health
- Skin texture
Chemical peels have been used for decades to revitalize and resurface skin. This is a safe way to remove a very thin layer from the top of your skin. Removal of these damaged cells will stimulate cell division, resulting in collagen build-up and growth of healthier new cells.
Chemical peels decrease acne, diminish fine lines and even out discoloration. They leave the skin feeling smoother and softer and increase moisture retention. Other conditions treatable by chemical peels include wrinkles, age spots and sun damage.
A variety of peeling agents and formulations are used to treat problem areas such as faces, hands, neck, back, shoulders and legs. The most consistent and most commonly used agents are alphahydroxy acids (AHAs), tricholoacetic acid (TCA), beta-hydroxy and glycolic. Chemical peels will leave your skin glowing, healthier and more youthful.
Chemical peels may cause your skin to appear red and experience itching and peeling after three days. Recovery time from chemical peels is usually seven to ten days, depending on the depth of the peel. Usually by the third day, make-up is easily applied.
