36 yo mother of three from Cheyenne, Wyoming was referred to Board Certified, Fellowship-Trained Urogynecologist and renowned cosmetic surgeon Dr. Oscar Aguirre by her local OB-GYN for vaginal prolapse. She states that her symptoms have been present for the past two years and have worsened over the past six months. She describes very heavy menses and difficulties with hygiene due to tampon shifting. She is also bothered by a palpable bulge, her husband falling out during intercourse and decreased sensation with sex. Dr. Aguirre performed a thorough pelvic examination which revealed complex anterior compartment prolapse with bilateral paravaginal defects contributing to a stage III cystocele with concomitant stage I-II uterine prolapse and stage II rectocele. She was found to have an anal tag along with an anteverted, slightly enlarged likely fibroid uterus. After a urogynecologic evaluation Dr. Aguirre recommended and preformed a Abdominal Supracervical Hysterectomy with Sacrocolpopexy, Paravaginal Repair, Rectocele Repair, Suburethral Sling and Anal tag excision. These procedures addressed her Urology/Gynecology needs. Dr. Aguirre also performed a Vaginoplasty which addressed her issue of vaginal looseness. She returned to the office for her regularly scheduled postop appointments, with excellent results.
