35 yo mother of three from Ft. Collins, Colorado located the office of Board Certified, Fellowship-Trained Urogynecologist and Master Cosmetic Surgeon Dr. Oscar Aguirre of Parker, Colorado through an on-line Real Self search on vaginal looseness. She has a 14 year history of symptomatic pelvic relaxation following an emergent vacuum-assisted delivery due to fetal distress resulting in significant vaginal trauma. She describes her episiotomy breaking down early during her postpartum period and never feeling the same again. This worsened following her second and third vaginal deliveries. She describes over the years having difficulties with keeping her tampons in place and having lost vaginal sensation and also experiencing discomfort from tags at the vaginal opening. She cannot stand to be touched or stimulated in certain areas especially after prolonged intercourse. Dr. Aguirre performed a thorough pelvic examination with a chaperone present which revealed stage II anterior vaginal relaxation and stage I-II posterior vaginal relaxation. Examination was also significant for a parous-appearing perineum with and enlarged genital hiatus of 5 cm and decreased size perineal body of 2 cm. After discussing all surgical and non-surgical options with Dr. Aguirre, she decided to move forward with Reconstructive and Cosmetic Vaginal Surgery. Dr. Aguirre performed an out-patient surgery center with Anterior and Posterior Vaginal Repair, Vaginoplasty and Excision of Anal Skin Tags. She returned to the office for her regularly scheduled postop appointments, very happy with excellent results.
