Dr. Oscar Aguirre announced today that Aguirre Specialty Care in Denver now offers the latest Breast Enhancement technique using the fat transfer method. This revolutionary alternative to breast implants, performed under local anesthesia, uses the patient’s own healthy body fat from the abdomen, thighs or buttocks to increase their breast size, naturally.
Denver, CO (Vocus/PRWEB) January 11, 2011 – Aguirre Specialty Care located in Englewood, CO has recently added the latest technique in Breast Augmentation to its practice menu. The procedure is a great alternative to plastic surgery, using a technique that utilizes fat that is extracted during a minimally invasive liposuction procedure which is then transferred to the breasts. The result: breast size is typically increased by 1 – 2 cup sizes and excess fat is removed from body areas such as abdomen, hips and buttocks, where fat removal is most desired; breast implants not required!
“This procedure delivers two exceptional benefits all in one minimally invasive treatment: breast enhancement and fat removal,” states Dr. Aguirre, Medical Director of Aguirre Specialty Care. “The best candidates for this procedure include women who desire an increase of breast size and fullness of up to 1 to 2 cup sizes. Patients include women who have lost fullness in the breasts due to age, weight fluctuations, breast feeding or want to increase their breast size, but don’t like the idea of implants.”
The procedure is performed using the VASER® LipoSelection System, an alternative to liposuction and laser lipolysis, which utilizes ultrasonic energy to dislodge and emulsify fat within the targeted area. The fat is collected using a highly selective, specialized vacuum to reduce trauma to the fat cells, is purified and then carefully re-injected into the breast using a specialized injection syringe. Unlike laser lipolysis, the VASER® LipoSelection System keeps the fat cells healthy so that they can take their new place within the breast tissue. Studies have shown that fat harvested by the VASER® LipoSelection System has nearly 80% volume retention with the fat injections resulting in a 1 or 2 bra cup size increase.
The standard natural breast augmentation procedure usually takes about 4 to 5 hours, which includes the fat harvesting portion of the procedure, and is performed under local anesthesia. Downtime is minimal with only a few days away from work or strenuous activity required. A support bra is temporarily used after the procedure to ensure that the fat remains in place. About Aguirre Specialty Care
In 1992, Dr. G. Willy Davila founded the first urogynecologic practice in Colorado called Colorado Gynecology and Continence Center. Upon returning to Colorado after his residency in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Aguirre completed a two-year fellowship under Dr. Davila in urogynecology and reconstructive pelvic surgery. In 1999, when he completed his fellowship, Dr. Aguirre took over as medical director of the practice and renamed it Urogynecology Associates of Colorado.
While listening to the overwhelming concerns of his patients over the years, it became apparent to Dr. Aguirre that they were concerned about much more than just the functional aspect of their vaginal problems. Patients were also concerned about the appearance of the vagina. Dr. Aguirre, who is qualified to address both women’s functional and aesthetic concerns, realized that he could help these women. With the addition of cosmetic gynecological services, the practice was renamed Pelvic Specialty Care – The Center for Female Pelvic Medicine. The new name illustrated the fact that the practice had more to offer than just urogynecologic treatments and procedures.
In the years following, Dr. Aguirre and his team were constantly adding new services to better meet the needs of their patients, including additional aesthetic vaginal surgery procedures, in-office body contouring and dermal aesthetics. In 2009, Dr. Aguirre and his team updated the practice name to better reflect the wide range of services provided for women. With that, Aguirre Specialty Care – Pelvic Surgery and Intimate Aesthetics, The Center for Female Pelvic Medicine and Cosmetic Surgery, was born.
