Case # 24333

37 yo mother of two from Northern Colorado was referred to Board Certified, Fellowship-Trained Urogynecologist and renowned cosmetic surgeon Dr. Oscar Aguirre, of Denver, Colorado by her mother. Her mother was a prior patient of Dr. Aguirre’s who underwent reconstructive pelvic surgery in the past. Patient presented to the office after having palpated a vaginal bulge three weeks prior, which has created great anxiety. She is afraid this will progress rapidly and that it is a sign of her getting old. Upon further questioning, she has been bothered by decreased vaginal sensation since her first delivery and mild urinary incontinence with sneezing and jumping on a trampoline. She has also notice vaginal dryness and difficulties with achieving orgasm. She is also bothered by the appearance and asymmetry of her labia minora. She presented to the office thinking she was in need of pelvic surgery, which after a thorough pelvic examination she was found to have mild pelvic relaxation which did not warrant pelvic repair. Non-surgical treatment measures consisting of CO2 laser vaginal resurfacing with FemiLift to improve vaginal dryness and incontinence in combination with the O-Shot to improve orgasm, urinary frequency and nocturia, were chosen by the patient. She also elected to have in-office laser reduction Labiaplasty of the labia minora with clitoral hood reduction and Clitoropexy in combination with PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma), all to address the aesthetic appearance of the labia minora.  She was very happy with her results at her follow up visits.
