Dr. Aguirre is one of the first physicians in Denver to receive this new subspecialty board certification in Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery from the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS).

Denver, CO (PRWEB) October 08, 2013 Dr. Oscar A. Aguirre of Aguirre Specialty Care in Denver, CO has recently announced that he has received a new subspecialty board certification in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery from the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS).

Dr. Aguirre is among the first physicians in Denver to receive this new subspecialty certification due to the fact that these new subspecialties were just approved by the ABMS in March during their board meeting in Washington, D.C. The certification is administered from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG), from whom Dr. Aguirre is also board-certified.

To obtain and maintain this certification, Dr. Aguirre committed to participation in the ABMS Maintenance of Certification® (ABMS MOC®) program created by ABMS and its 24 Member Boards to promote lifelong learning and self-assessment for physician specialists. The implementation of these new subspecialties is to support ongoing advances in medicine as well as enable patients to receive the highest standard of care from only the most qualified medical professionals.
