Labiaplasty continues to gain in popularity, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). This growth can be largely attributed to an increased awareness for the need for this type of surgery. Until only recently, a large portion of the medical community dismissed labiaplasty as unnecessary and even labeled it a shameful pursuit for both the doctors performing it and the patients seeking it.
This couldn’t be further from the truth! Labiaplasty is about helping women attain a higher quality of life. Aesthetics, or a woman’s appearance, is but one small aspect of this life-changing procedure. In a study published in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery®, the official medical journal of ASPS, a high rate of women seeking labiaplasty reported adverse physical symptoms, including pain during intercourse, discomfort and visibility while wearing certain clothing, such as yoga pants or bathing suits, self-consciousness during intimacy, and low self-esteem.
I’ve made it my life’s work to help women feel more comfortable with their bodies by offering labiaplasty in addition to a comprehensive menu of urogynecologic treatments and procedures. I’m on a mission to help you achieve optimal intimate vitality.
