My name is Dr. Oscar A. Aguirre and I am the founder and medical director of Aguirre Specialty Care—Pelvic Surgery and Intimate Aesthetics®, The Center for Female Pelvic Medicine and Cosmetic Surgery. I am originally from La Paz, Bolivia. I do, however, consider Denver home, as my family and I moved to Denver when I was just four years old.
As an Urogynecologist, I have dedicated my entire career to women’s pelvic health. I was one of the first Urogynecologists in the country to offer cosmetic gynecology, a subspecialty of gynecological medicine that has since developed some of the most popular cosmetic treatments available today. By combining my expertise in both reconstructive and cosmetic vaginal surgery, since the beginning of my career, I have become a leading expert in the field of Cosmetic Gynecology. Women travel from all over the world to have their functional and aesthetic vulvovaginal concerns addressed during one surgical procedure. As a cosmetic surgeon I can also perform Aesthetic Body Contouring procedures at the time of an Intimate Makeover®.
With the advancement of medicine and technology, I’ve become an early adopter of non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation modalities including Radiofrequency (i.e. - Pelleve and ThermiVa), CO2 (i.e. - FemiLift, MonaLisa Touch, Intima and Nd/YAG (i.e.-IntimaLase, diVa) energy sources.
Simultaneously, the field of regenerative medicine has evolved making Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) and Stem Cell Therapy available for your patients.
I’m excited to be able to provide women these services that restore their confidence and change their lives for the better.
In 2000, I came to see Dr. Aguirre concerning urinary incontinence problems with heavy periods, a prolapsed uterus and a rectocele. I had painful intercourse and was very discouraged. We scheduled the Burch procedure to “tuck” the bladder back into position. Dr. Aguirre also did a pelvic reconstruction at that time. The recovery was tough… Read more »

For me, it was a quality of life issue. There were becoming more and more instances where I was “caught” by a sneeze or a cough and I was required to change my clothes. I was fearful that I was going to be presenting to a roomful of people at work and I would be… Read more »
For years I struggled with incontinence – always needing to be “on guard” to the possibility of an unexpected sneeze or cough – planning out when I traveled where the next bathroom might be. Hi there Dr. Aguirre! You are an amazing man! When you dashed in front of me, the morning of surgery, and gave me a big smile, it did my heart good. As the head nurse turned to you to say “there is no paperwork for her”, you calmly turned to her and said “it was… Read more »
“I am a 19-year-old-college student who had Labia and Clitoral Hood Reduction done. I was more nervous about this than picking what college to go to! I never really knew that there was anything unique about this until the pain got unbearable. I am a volleyball player and wearing tight fitting bottoms and thongs is… Read more »
“I have often used the expression ‘I laughed so hard I peed my pants.’ What my friends didn’t know was that I meant this literally not figuratively. Ever since the birth of my children 12 yrs ago, I could not sneeze, cough, laugh hard, jump rope, bounce on a trampoline or run without ‘peeing my… Read more »

In my 40’s I was told I had urinary incontinence and needed to have surgery to place a mesh sling to help with the incontinence. Having had adverse reactions to other surgeries I was not up for that. So, I did what most women with this issue do – don’t dance, don’t laugh and make… Read more »
